The municipal election is on October 22nd, 2018 and OFPC wanted to bring food to the table this year. 

All candidates for the upcoming term of City Council have received a letter in which OFPC highlighted that food is an important issue that should be on City Council’s agenda, and that a food systems approach to thinking about policy is the best way to address the magnitude of food issues and many others that we are experiencing in our community. 

More recently, candidates received a checklist of priority items pertaining to food that could be brought forward and added to standing committee legislative agendas to work towards a more sustainable overall food system for Ottawa. Candidate responses are below:
