Ottawa Food Policy Council Workplan 2013-2014

The Ottawa Food Policy Council (OFPC) brings together diverse people from the food, farming and community sector to create a coherent and enabling environment for policies and projects that support a sustainable and healthy food system. This is a food system that ensures everyone can access sustainable produced, healthy, affordable, sufficient and culturally acceptable food.

Using the Ottawa Food Action Plan as a starting point, OFPC members identify emerging issues, encourage food system innovation, and facilitate community participation in food policy development.

These are the Strategic Areas and Actions of the OFPC in its first year. Additional actions will be posted as they are planned and implemented. Contact information is provided to seek more information on a given topic area, and to inquire about participating in one of the working groups.
